What will you get out of this class?

 Are you new to meditation? Or looking to refresh your practice? Come to this introductory class where we will bust myths about meditation that are holding you back. Learn how to meditate quickly and easily in a modern way that effectively brings calm to your day even if you have racing mind and little spare time. You’ll learn a practical, Western method based on research. Meditation doesn’t take a lot of time or discipline in order for it to “work.” You will gain confidence quickly even as a beginner. You will learn the principals behind this approach, practice a few short skills, and then experience a longer guided meditation.

6:00-7:30 An Introduction to Meditation for Racing Minds

All are welcome to this class, especially beginners or those looking to refresh their practice.

Dress comfortably. We will be sitting in chairs. You may want to bring paper and a pen to take notes.

Who is the Instructor?

Berni Kozlowski is a certified meditation teacher (RYT-200) who has taught across the US and in Ireland and is a regular presenter at the Lodge at Woodloch, a highly ranked destination spa in the Poconos. She has worked with over 1700 people through in-person consulting with businesses, schools, and organizations, through private mentoring, and by hosting weekend retreats. With a master’s degree in Biology, Berni brings a research based approach to her teaching and specializes in helping people deal with racing minds.

Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Berni is the Founder of Berni K’s Rest Revolution, a company she started to help others learn to skillfully access deep states of rest through a form of instinctive meditation that is easy, accessible, and doesn’t require sitting cross-legged on cushions. She is one of only 14 people in the world who is certified in this approach which was founded by Lorin Roche, Ph.D., author or Meditation Made Easy, as well as the Radiance Sutras.  He is also co-author with Camille Maurine of Meditation Secrets for Women.
